Both sets of competition bumpers have been completed, and are ready to be shipped off with the robot on Tuesday. Our Chairman’s submission was completed, and we are super proud of everyone who worked on the essay. The mechanical and electrical teams have been working hard to keep us on schedule for ship on Tuesday.
The NASA Scrimmage is tomorrow! If you have registered, then you will know what to do.
6 Weeks down, 3 Days to go!

We are working on the finishing touches of the electrical system, as far as I can tell, not being able to understand more than the theory at present. We are also working on making the wooden parts of the bumpers. We are drilling “perfect holes”, or at least trying to. Some of us are melting polycord for the rollers

The season so far has been pretty hectic, but at the same time enormously fun. For me involved asking a lot of strange questions because it is my first year. Everyone here has been very welcoming and don’t seen to mind me asking all these questions. All the veteran members of the team have been very helpful. Because of them and our wonderful mentors, I learned so much in the few weeks I’ve been here. I can’t believe how quickly the robot is being designed and assembled. I especially love how everything is blue.
I haven’t been able to work in the many divisions we have, but each one has been working incredibly hard. Mechanical is finalizing super structure designs. Electrical is working on the base plate. I’m sure programming is working on something equally important…

The NASA Scrimmage is only one week away! More info will be released later.
All together, the Space Cookies have put in over 2200 hours in the lab! Most years, the team puts in about 2080 hours. We are so proud to have this much commitment for the team, and we hope to continue working hard for the final week of build season.
Our Chairman’s essay is nearly complete. Our superstructure has been finalized and many of mechanical subsystems are nearly complete. Our bumpers are coming together and our superstructure is being constructed.
The field elements have arrived and been set up on our nearly-full-size field. We are getting ready for the NASA in-house Scrimmage in two weeks (look for more updates on that next weekend).
We are so proud of all the hard work girls have put in in the last month!
4 Weeks down, 2 Weeks to go!
